Dr Natascha A. Domeisen is a Manuscripts and Rare Books Specialist working with clients in the UK, Switzerland, and abroad. She provides continued and long-term support in the development of individual collections, offering expert advice on buying or selling, along with detailed appraisals for individual items or entire collections. Due to her rigorous academic training, she also offers through scholarly documentation and inventarisation of libraries.

Natascha holds a Dphil in Modern Languages from Oxford University, awarded for her doctoral thesis: ‘Heidin and Mörin– Materiality, Visuality, and Mediality of Courtly Texts in the late Middle Ages’. Her Dphil was fully funded by the Leverhulme Trust as part of the Doctoral Research Centre ‘Beyond Print’. Her doctoral thesis studied the media history of courtly texts in times of printing. She also holds an MSt in Medieval Studies which was awarded with a distinction.

After her Dphil, Natascha worked as book and manuscript cataloguer for Oriel College, Oxford, where she catalogued 17’800 books and manuscripts. Following this engagement, Natascha was working for the international dealership Dr. Jörn Günther Rare Books, as a Manuscript Specialist, supporting German speaking institutional and private clients in curating and extending their collections. She currently works at Sotheby’s London as Associate Specialist in Illuminated Medieval Manuscripts.
